Since 1908, the Gideons, International have been distributing hundreds of millions of copies of the Bible to hotels, schools, hospitals, etc. Jeff Pack, who has been involved as a Gideon himself, has written a new book, entitled Witness to History: The Story of Gideons International. It’s a beautiful coffee-table type book with many pictures and an index. Through the years, these Gideon Bibles have had enormous impact and lives changed, including suicides prevented. As of now, the Gideons have distributed some 2.4 billion copies of the Bible, and they continue to grow strong.
