Topic: Recent Covid “Relief” Bill

Recently, Congress passed a 5600-page “relief” bill presumably to help Americans with the economic suffering caused by the coronavirus. The House and Senate members had about two hours to read and process this 5600-page bill. Allison Acosta Winters is a senior policy fellow with Americans for Prosperity (AFP). It has been noted, “AFP has been at the forefront of urging lawmakers to reject lame duck bad deals and other huge spending bills over the summer. AFP believes COVID relief should focus on addressing the actual problem – addressing the spread of the virus, not additional bailouts to state and local governments for reckless spending that predated this crisis.” Allison Acosta Winters joins Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to discuss this new bill. www.americansforprosperity.org
