Our nation is reevaluating its healthcare system. There is much talk of repealing and replacing Obamacare. Meanwhile, there are Christian medical-sharing plans (not insurance programs) that do their work day in and day out, regardless of what happens with Obamacare. One of them is Samaritan Ministries. As their statement declares: “With more than 68,000 member households (221,000 individuals), Samaritan has practiced health care sharing through a Biblical lens for 22 years, with a focus on Christians helping other Christians with their needs as the Bible instructs in Galatians 6:2, which says, ‘Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ’ (ESV).” Anthony Hopp, Samaritan’s vice president for external relations, joins Jerry Newcombe to explain how it works. www.samaritanministries.org
