Energy, especially oil production, has a lot to do with our economy and also with geopolitics. Dr. Meghan O’Sullivan teaches at Harvard, at the Kennedy School. She has written a new book called Windfall: How the New Energy Abundance Upends Global Politics and Strengthens America’s Powers. Dr. O’Sullivan notes that access to oil has played an important role in history for the last century: “By World War II, access to oil influenced military strategy as much as any single consideration.” Meghan O’Sullivan joined Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to discuss what she calls “the new energy landscape.”
