The recent defeat of the governor of North Carolina, after a long recount battle, has been interpreted as a defeat for conservative principles—since much of the contest centered around “open bathrooms” (to accommodate transgenders). Frank Cannon, the president of the American Principles Project, notes that “corporate extortion and bullying” played a major part in Gov. Pat McCrory’s defeat. The left outspent McCrory in this election campaign by $8 million. Despite the infusion from outside cash against him, McCrory lost by a slim margin. Frank Cannon joins Jerry Newcombe to explain this recent defeat and potential false conclusions that some are already drawing from it. www.americanprinciplesproject.org

From WAFG program director Lesley Hurst: “Hi Jerry…you and Barb did a fantastic job on the air last night. Thank you so much, for your hard work and great representation for our station and our Christian values. You did a good job as well keeping it bi-partisan and sticking with issues more than people.”
