One of the great controversies in our time swirls around the notion of so-called “Fake News.” President Trump recently listed more than 10 stories that fit the category of fake news—such as the report from TIME magazine that the president had supposedly removed a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the White House! Jarrett Stepman, who writes regularly for the Daily Signal (of the Heritage Foundation) wrote about fake news and how the founders anticipated something akin to it.
