“Jesus in the Courtroom” is a new book by Chicago-based attorney John Mauck. He serves as a religious liberty lawyer, helping with the Alliance Defending Freedom and the Christian Legal Society. He notes that when the Bible describes Jesus in Isaiah 9:6 (written 750 BC) as a “wonderful counselor,” that essentially means that our Lord is a great lawyer.
