Topic: Abortion

Several months ago, Georgia passed a right-to-life law, along the lines that an abortion cannot be performed if the fetal heartbeat can be detected. Since many movies and television programs are shot in the Peach State, Hollywood producers and personnel showed their pro-abortion colors by raising a ruckus about this law, threatening a boycott. In his End of Day Report (5/31/19). Gary Bauer notes, “Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, has joined the left-wing assault on Georgia’s new pro-life law. He said it would be ‘very difficult’ for Disney to continue working in Georgia if the heartbeat law remains in effect.” So an entertainment giant geared toward children is unhappy with a law to protect unborn children? Bauer adds, “Walt Disney must be rolling over in his grave.” For now, the law has been tied up in the courts. Ricardo Davis is the president of the Georgia Right-to-Life organization. He and his organization initially supported the law, but not with the way it became watered down. Ricardo Davis joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss this law and the threatened boycott and strategies to support life. www.grtl.org
