“Do Christians have a future in LGBTQ America?” is an intriguing article, written recently by Star Parker for her syndicated column. She observes, “Free speech is not about equality. Free speech is about the pursuit of truth. The equality necessary for free speech is equality under the law, where everyone receives equal protection. But when politics is the aim rather than truth, objective law protecting free expression gets flushed, and political operatives…determine who lives and who dies.” And she adds, “This slippery slope leads in one direction. Less freedom and more oppression. Exactly what our nation is not supposed to be about.” Star Parker, the founder and director of Urban Cure, joins Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to discuss this issue. www.starparker.com

Dr. John Fea, Head of the History Department of Messiah College, wrote on his blog: “Newcombe is a Christian nationalist,* but I have appreciated his willingness to give me time on his show….He is a hospitable host and, unlike other radio hosts who share his political and religious views, he allows his guests to speak…. I was pleased with the program. Newcombe was a true gentleman and we disagreed civilly. We need to have more conversations like this.” *JN: I believe America has Christian origins as a nation and thus allows freedom for all.
