Vocal Point-Wesley J. Smith

Many today are clamoring for “Medicare for All.” But is that really a good idea? Wesley J. Smith, a leading bio-ethicist and a senior fellow with the Discovery Institute, is an author and a columnist whose work often appears in National Review, etc. Smith writes, “Specifically, if the bill [“Medicare for All Act of 2019”] becomes law, kiss ‘medical conscience’ goodbye. Medical-conscience laws protect doctors and other medical professionals from being forced to provide services against their religious or moral beliefs, most notably, around abortion and sterilization.” Wesley J. Smith joins Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to discuss the implications of this bill. www.discovery.org
