Vocal Point-Dr. Michael Brown

Topic: Chick-fil-A

Dr. Michael Brown is a thoughtful Christian writer, educator, and broadcaster. In one of his recent columns, he wrote, “A Christian appeal to Chick-fil-A,” asking the fast food giant to reconsider its move to cut out giving to the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes because they are allegedly anti-gay (because of their belief in traditional marriage). When hurricanes hit, the Salvation Army helps everyone regardless of race, face, grace, place—or sexual orientation. It’s sad to see that Chick-fil-A, which has built up a great relationship with their customer base, is now willing to throw the Salvation Army and the FCA under the bus. Brown writes, “Why alienate the very people—dedicated Christians and loyal customers—who helped make you great? Do you see the radical left caring about the opinions of tens of millions of conservative Christians? Do you see them stepping back from their support of abortion or transgender activism? Not a chance.” Dr. Michael Brown joins Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to discuss this controversy. www.askdrbrown.org
