Vocal Point-Peter Pitts

Topic: Measles and Vaccinations

Recently, the LA Times reports (5/6/19): “More than 750 people have been diagnosed with measles in the United States this year, the most cases nationwide in more than 20 years. Health officials say that more than 500 of those people had not been vaccinated.” Peter J. Pitts, the president of the Center for Medicine in the Public Interest, disagrees. He’s a former Food and Drug Administration associate commissioner. Pitts joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss the measles epidemic and vaccinations. www.cmpi.org
