Vocal Point-Wesley J. Smith

Topic: Human Exceptionalism

A recent story out of Florida shows that PETA is concerned that any killing of unwanted iguanas that are often overrunning South Florida gardens be done in a kind and humane manner. Meanwhile, there are significant steps being taken to promote killing human beings, at either end of the spectrum—before birth (even after birth) and at the end of life. On the latter point, there is a push for assisted suicide. One of the great writers on the issue of life in our time is Discovery Institute fellow Wesley J. Smith, who focuses on “human exceptionalism.” In this particular discussion, Jerry Newcombe talks with Wesley J. Smith on the subject of “Human Exceptionalism and Assisted Suicide.” www.wesleyjsmith.com
